Officials of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Dubai and Northern Emirates visited TAD-BEER, TAWJEEH and TWA-FOUQ centres in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi.
The TAD-BEER, TAWJEEH and TWA-FOUQ centres are licensed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization of UAE to provide integrated services in the worker recruitment process including recruitment and employment domestic workers, provide orientation and raise awareness of employers and employees, provide work contracts and permits, mediate between employers and workers to resolve disputes.
The officials of the Embassy and Consulate discussed with the ways to promote awareness among Sri Lankans who work in UAE and to increase cooperation between these centres and the Embassy to provide productive and inclusive services to Sri Lankan migrant workers in UAE and, also discussed the possibility for the Embassy to be a part of the mediation process between Employers and Employees.
